Damir Miloš, born 13th November 1954. in Opatija, more than 20 years instructor in ACI sailing school, has sailed as a skipper on maxi ”ACY No1” across the Atlantic Ocean at the regatta on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s discovery of America (on course Genova – Cadiz – Las Palmas – San Huan – New York – Boston), and in return across north Atlantic in regatta ”TRANSAT 92” from Quebec in Canada to Saint-Malo in France. After leaving ACI he gains the status of an independent artist and dedicates himself to writing.
He finished his studies in 1979. at the Philosophy and Phonetics departments at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences University of Zagreb, where he achieved a master’s degree with a thesis ”Body and language”, and received the title ”Mr. sc”. He was teaching at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka. Writer, wrote and published around fifteen books and a few manuals on sailing.
