The goal of the “Off Masterclass” program is to master sailing skills and knowledge that enable the participant to take full responsibility for the crew and the boat, regardless of the crew’s experience. It’s up to each individual to decide how to make the most of these skills – be it work, racing, cruising, or sailing across the globe.
Among the sailing skills that the participant needs to acquire, we include:
- Full control of the sailboat under sails in all weather conditions.
- Timely preparation of the sailboat and crew for specific weather conditions.
- Route planning considering expected weather conditions.
- Checking the technical condition of the sailboat.
- Use of existing electronics in navigation (GPS, autopilot).
- Good knowledge of terrestrial navigation.
- Selection of anchorages based on understanding of the meteorological situation and forecast.
